You will walk uphill passing forested mountains and enjoy a magnificent view of natural surroundings along the way. Reaching the top, your downhill walk begins. It will take you through the same splendid scenery on the other side of the mountain.
Stop at a hill tribe community where you will be transferred by a local truck to Araksa Tea Garden for delicious Thai lunch.
After lunch, join a tea garden tour to learn about tea farming and a history of tea in Thailand. Also get hands-on experience in plucking tea leaves with local tea pickers and watch how tea is made in both traditional and modern ways. In the end, you will enjoy a glass of iced tea and hot tea together with a Thai snack.
Return to Lisu Lodge and enjoy your visit to:
Rice paddies - Walk with our guide through rice paddies where we work together with the villagers to grow rice without the use of pesticide and insecticide. Besides strolling through the green or the golden carpet of the paddy fields, depending on the season, you will learn and participate in the various stages of rice cultivation in northern Thai style.
Himmapaan nursery - Learn about the flora of northern Thailand and how we restore the forest ecosystem at a tree nursery of the Himmapaan Foundation whose goal is to support and implement environmental and social projects by working with local communities in areas affected by tourism.
