Bangkok River Cruise
There is no finer way to view the captivating way of life that exists
on Thailand's "River of Kings". In a simple one-day river trip
on the Mekhala, you can absorb centuries of Thailand's history and culture.
PROGRAM UPSTREAM (BANGKOK-AYUTHAYA): Departure at 14h30
everyday (except on Friday).
Day 1: BANGKOK - MEKHALA (D)
Start cruising up the Chao Phraya River with spectacular views of the
Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. Just after the sunset, the MEKHALA
docks at Wat Kai Tia, a Thai temple set in a tranquil rural village. An
exquisite candlelit dinner of mouth-watering Thai cuisine is served on
the deck. Overnight on board in your air-conditioned cabin.
Day 2: MEKHALA – AYUTHAYA (B)
An option for alms offering to monk can be made prior to a delicious breakfast
served on board. Then depart for Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace where you will
disembark nearby at approx. 10h00.
End of Service.
PROGRAM DOWNSTREAM (AYUTHAYA - BANGKOK): Departure at
14h30 everyday (except on Saturday).
Day 1: AYUTHAYA - MEKHALA (D)
Start cruising downstream from the pier near Bang – Pa – In
Palace, captivating the spectacular views of rural life along the “River
of Kings”. Just after the sunset, the MEKHALA docks at Wat Kai Tia,
a Thai temple set in a tranquil rural village. An exquisite candlelit
dinner of mouth-watering Thai cuisine is served on the deck. Overnight
on board in your air-conditioned cabin.
Day 2: MEKHALA - BANGKOK (B)
An option for alms offering to monk can be made prior to a delicious breakfast
on board, cruise down the river to Bangkok, passing spectacular views
of the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. Arrive Bangkok in the late
morning.

PROGRAM UPSTREAM
- Greetings by our guide upon disembarkation at the pier near the Bang--Pa-In
Summer Palace of King Rama V. Visit to the Palace.
- Continue by a long-tail boat to view life style of people along the
riverside. Followed by a visit to the archeological site of the once glorious
capital, Ayuthaya.
- After lunch, our air-conditioned car or mini-bus will take you back
to your hotel in Bangkok.
